Why schedU is different
A real timetable isn’t a guess. schedU is the lived experience of building real schedules - the rules, the edge cases, the fairness - planned, turned into transparent logic, and implemented so you can see exactly why every decision was made. Predictable, explainable, and yours to override.
Modelled on how schedules are really made - dispersal times, double periods, electives, staggered lunches, day-offs.
Every constraint is deliberate logic with a national-policy brain behind it - not a statistical black box that hallucinates.
See why each slot got its teacher and subject, and hand-edit any cell. The engine assists; you stay in control.

This is the Live board. Drag the timeline, sort free faculty by load, mark someone unavailable and assign a fairness-checked substitute - the same mechanics as the product.
The clock and the “now” tick are your genuine local time. The schedule around them is an illustrative day for Eden’s Academy - the drag, sort, and substitution mechanics are the real ones.
Calendar mode - every lens, one timeline
The same school day through four lenses - Classes, Faculty, Venues, Subjects. The timeline is the heading, and the Playhead is genuinely your local time, moving as you read this.
Schedule data is illustrative - the red Playhead is your genuine local time, moving as you watch. Every lens carries it.

Everything in the box
What schedU does today, in the order a school meets it.
Type the counts in your own naming (KG1, Grade 1, Class-I) and schedU creates editable classes, subjects, teachers and rooms. Then timing, groups, mapping, review.
Each group can start, break and finish at its own time: staggered lunches, a short Saturday, early dispersal for the little ones. Clashes are judged on the clock, not the period number.
AND splits classes into parallel groups (Hindi AND Odia), pooled across sections with real headcounts. OR offers a choice for the period, and the teacher can take it on the day.
Every subject mapped to a class and a teacher, totals checked against the week. HI Fix fills in starter teachers and leaves the ones you named alone.
Teaching hours, teacher load and pupil-teacher ratio are checked against published norms and shown as checkpoints. You decide; nothing is changed behind your back.
Home rooms, labs and halls, and outdoor grounds shared up to their capacity. A group gets a room that fits, and no room is ever booked twice.
Run I-V and VI-X as separate schedules, each on its own bell. A teacher or room shared between them is never double-booked, and the calendar shows them together.
Drag lessons around with clashes flagged as you move, undo any step, and keep earlier versions you can restore. Edits flow back into the mapping.
Live, Day and Month views follow the real clock: who is teaching, who is free, which room is in use, right now.
Teachers report themselves unavailable from their own login. Cover is ranked by who is genuinely free and how loaded their day is, and assigned in one click.
My teaching shows each teacher their own day across every live schedule, the OR periods they can take, and their syllabus progress.
Class, teacher, venue and parallel-lesson timetables with your school's header, as Print, PDF or Excel. Parallel lessons carry each class's headcount and the totals.
A screen per venue door that shows what is on now and next, updating itself all day.
Share a read-only timetable with anyone, or only with listed emails. Invite co-administrators and teachers with their own roles.
Who was unavailable and why, how lessons were covered, which were lost, and the extra duties each teacher took.
The ones worth answering before you trust a piece of software with your week.
No. schedU is built on Human Intelligence - the scheduling rules a timetable in-charge actually applies, written down and made inspectable. Every decision has a reason you can read, question and override, and the same input always produces the same timetable. A model that guesses can do none of those things, and a timetable you cannot explain to the teacher standing in front of you is not finished.
It means the constraints are explicit rather than learned. Teacher availability, weekly workload limits, double periods that must not straddle a break, a class teacher who takes the first period, room capacity, elective groups - each is a rule you set and can see applied. When something cannot be satisfied, schedU tells you which rule blocked it and where, instead of quietly producing a worse timetable.
Seconds for a typical school. A thirty-section school with a full allocation matrix, day-off rules and teacher availability solves in under a second, and you can re-run it as often as you like while you adjust the inputs.
Yes. schedU has no built-in board restrictions - you enter your own period counts, subject names, streams and grading labels. Schools on CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, state boards and Common Core all use the same engine, as do colleges and universities with entirely different structures.
A teacher can mark themselves unavailable from their own login, or an administrator can - for leave, a duty or training. The day view then shows every period left uncovered and suggests substitutes who are genuinely free at that moment, checked against every parallel group and every live schedule. One click records the cover, and the corridor board and every affected teacher’s timetable update with it.
Yes. A school can keep several schedules live together, for example one for Classes I-V and another for VI-X, each with its own bell. When one is generated it keeps clear of the teachers and rooms the others already use, the calendar and corridor board show them together, and a teacher in both sees one combined day.
Yes. Set the name, address and logo once in Settings and every printed or exported timetable carries them: class, teacher, venue and parallel-lesson timetables, as Print, PDF or Excel. The logo also shows in the app for everyone in your school.
Yes. A school can add colleagues by email with a role - administrator, faculty or view-only - and teachers get their own view of the periods they teach. Where a period offers a choice of subject, the teacher who offers it can take that slot themselves and the change reaches whoever is planning the day.
